Dance lessons teach children respect and discipline. It helps to build social awareness in children, so they not only learn how to dance; they also learn how to respect one another. The maturity necessary to dance together fosters respect, civility, teamwork, confidence and a sense of joy, accomplishment and achievement. Their posture and confidence improves and awkwardness is replaced with physical grace & poise. It is also an incredible low-impact sport to help children build better cardiovascular and muscular health.
Ballroom Advanced
Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 5:30 pm - 6:15 pm Wednesday & Friday: 3:30 pm - 4:15 pm Ballroom Intermediate Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 4:30 pm - 5:15 pm These dance classes are for those that are more familiar with the basics of ballroom dancing and are a stepping stone towards competitive dancing, or dancesport, as well as a great confidence builder. Attire: We recommend youth wear modest street clothes or athletic attire that they're comfortable moving in. Students do not need to wear leotards/tights, but something relatively form-fitting is helpful for ensuring correct movement and body alignment. Shoes are the most important part of dance attire: choose shoes that support your child's heel and have a leather sole. Ballet or Jazz shoes work very well and are available for purchase at the studio. As your child's dancing progresses, you will want to consider purchasing a pair of ballroom dance shoes, which have a flexible suede sole, and are designed to give the dancer better control and maintain correct body alignment. |
